One of many awesome days

Day rating: 90/100. 10 point deduction for dropping and cracking my phone.

We are booked! After months of heckling venues, we have put our first deposit for the Park Savoy.

September 7, 2013 - Save the date!

Thai for Brian's birthday celebration and homemade cheesecake by Priscilla's bakery. Add king crab legs - it was a super fabulous day.

Whoops

Okay, so it didn't work out like I had planned. The weekends have been pretty hectic and we haven't had a moment to sit down and browse on methods to edit the video. I did however figure out that our best bet would be iMovie which may require us to obtain an Apple. We're pc people but we don't knock on the iPhone or iPad (currently in use to type this.) The last few weekends as well as the upcoming ones are busy. This weekend was quite nice, nothing crazy planned, looked at houses, hung out with Jon's family, played taboo, and apples to apples. We found out there ara couple of words that Jon's family cant pronounce correctly. Walrus, pier, and museum -Jon, Priscilla, Brian - guess who's word is whos! Oh, as I mentioned, house hunting has officially kicked off again! We even got to see a home that we really liked but it was already in contract any the time we set up our appointments on Saturday. Apparently the buyers and sellers contracts were contingent upon them selling their homes - it was a multi-way fail. We arent sure if that home is for us, but it honestly has everything we want. The thing holding us back now is the foyer which is small for the front door. It takes up too much room - can we live with it? Guess we'll have to wait and see. Jon's birthday is almost here :) Love you.

The Proposal..

It was so much more than I could have ever imagined.  On our first date, we went to eat at a local pulled noodles "lai mein" restaurant in Chinatown and saw UP the movie.

And Jon re-created it all for the proposal.

I really wanted to write out a detailed post on how it all went down and even have drafts, but it really didn't do it justice with all the thought, care, and creatively that Jon put into it.  I am going to devote the next few weekends to help him put it together so we can share it with everyone.

 Stay tuned!

Yes.

Hello everyone!  I'm Cindy :)

My recap of how the proposal went down is extremely long so I thought I would say hello first and wrap up the recap later this weekend.

I will say - the day was extremely special and it was the sweetest and most thoughtful proposal I ever would have thought possible and the work and preparation for it was immeasurable.   Jon re-created our first date at home, sent me on a scavenger hunt, and had me break a code - that doesn't even do it justice.

How did it all go down? Stay tuned! :)

I love you, Jon.

Welcome CINDY!!!!!!!

WhoooOOoooohoooo~

It was the greatest feeling in the world when she said yes.  Even though I thought she would most likely say yes, it was great hearing it.  So great that I made her confirm at least 2 more times.  After "popping the question" and going from anxious > being relieved everything worked out > having it hit me that we're finally engaged, there was like 30 minutes of confusion.  We didn't really know what to do with ourselves physically and emotionally.  Just kissing and hugging and more kissing and saying I love you's for a good half hour, with some phone calls to family and friends in between.  Cindy kept kissing me and saying "Thank you" the whole time, but little does she know, I WIN!

Everything worked out, she loved the ring, loved the scrapbook, loved the ipad of course (thank you apple) and the blog site that was displayed on it when she turned it on.  I know this is a pretty complex proposal, and I seriously have no freaking clue how we're going to retell the process, but this is all about Cindy anyways and everything that she loves, so I think it went well.

ANYWAYS~

Welcome to the blog Cindy!

I've added her to the site and hopefully I'll be able to edit the videos of the actual event so that we can always have this.  I will never ever forget the emotions that went down that night and how she squeezed my hand when the video cut out, how she was trying to laugh away the emotional tears throughout the entire process leading up to the proposal.  I'll also never forget the promise I made and how everything felt just right when you said yes.  Everything is going to be alright.

She said YESSSS!!!!@!!@!#!!!!!!!!!

Everything was perfect.

It was a bit crazy at first.  Cindy got out of her GS ISS early so she came home and had to log into work for a bit.  At that point I really had no idea what to do with myself to keep busy until dinner time, so I went outside to play with the dogs. The first curveball came when my sister came home with her fiance and a friend of hers.  I asked her "are you planning on having dinner here tonight?"  She replied, "yea, we're eating at home."  I asked her "can you not?" and smiled.....she knew what was going down and suggested they go out for dinner.  I think my brother also suggested they go out for dinner too to make sure she got it... everything was under control.

After she was done with work, I suggested we go out to pick up a bottle of wine and some ice cream.  Basically anything to get her out of her PJ's and into street clothes.   When we went to the liquor store, she said she wanted a prosecco, something we rarely ever drink.  I kept thinking to myself, "is this her way of telling me she knows, without saying it straight out?"

We went home and had a great dinner of hand-pulled noodles.  Even though it "wasn't as good" as the place on Doyer Street (Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodle), she thought it wasn't bad.  I told her we didn't have enough pictures together so I was even able to persuade her to take some pictures at dinner.

After dinner I suggested we watched the movie "Up" since we haven't seen it in a while.  I'm not really sure if she was suspicious by now, since our first date included a modest dinner of hand-pulled noodles in c-town and then the movies.  To throw her off a bit I said, lets start the movie early so we're done by 10:30, I think Brian (my brother) wants to watch the Laker game tonight.  Either she played along or the plan worked..

So I came upstairs to grab the hard drive with the movie and turn on the cameras.  I have a video of me setting this up.  By now I was extremely nervous, I can still feel it now, thinking about it.  I kept repeating, movie, cam, cam, RING, movie, cam, cam, RING.  To make sure I didn't forget anything.  So just like practice, I came up, turned on the 2 video cameras, got the ring and hard drive.  Once I got downstairs, as I was setting up the movie, I activated the 3rd camera.  To keep her from sitting around and noticing the camera I asked her to get me a beer, as you'll see in the video to come.  I also had the cameras in place the day before so if she were to notice them, they would've been off and just "accidentally" placed there.

So enough reading, blogs with so many words are boring as hell....

This is the video we watched.  If you live under a rock somewhere and have never seen this movie, its a great watch, but unfortunately this uploaded copy is not the full version.

Final post before it all goes down

Hey baby,

The last few months has been building up to this.  I really hope this all works out, logistically.  So right now I tested all the cameras, I had set the cameras on yesterday in all their final placements to see if you would notice them.  You didn't yesterday and I hope you won't today.

So the box is set and put away, this is the final post that will show up on your iPad. This is what went down today.

I told you I was going into work a little late, but I actually already took the day off to run to ctown to buy hand pulled noodles, flowers and to do some last minute set-up. I saw you off this morning, I hope you didn't suspect anything...

I was able to snap 2 shots of you before you left.  LOL, I told you i wanted to take before and after shots of you to see if you'll get tanned from working in the sun today.

After dropping you off, I then drove my mom out to the city.  She went to the accountant and did her shopping.  I went to the hand-pulled noodle restaurant we went to on our first date.  Unfortunately, they didn't open on time, so it took an hour longer than I anticipated.  Good thing I accounted for traffic which there was none. So when I got to the hand pulled noodle place at 10:35am, the gates were still down.  I called the number that was on the canopy, someone picked up and I asked him what time they opened.  He said 10:30.  As this was happening I saw some dude walking up towards me with the phone up to his face. I said so you're open right now?  He said yes we open right now.  I'm watching the dude's lips as I'm hearing this over the phone to match it up.  Perfect match.  I look at him and said I'm here already, you lied to me.  He laughed and said i open it now, but chef not here.....
See the closed gates? Dude lied to my face....

I ended up waiting, along with a few others that started straggling in as I was there.  The chef didn't show up until 11:05.  I got my order around 11:30am and headed back to NJ to finish up the rest of the project.

So now I'm sitting here, tested everything multiple times...hopefully everything worked out smoothly!!!!!

Added:
Sooo~ Nervous

Hand pulled noodle

So today is the day. I took off of work to finish preparing. I'm sitting at Tasty-Hand Pulled Noodle inc right now as we speak. They were supposed to open at 10:30 but it's 10:45 now and the chef still isn't here yet. Maybe he's ditching work like me. Now that would be karma.

Edit: It's about 11:05 now, the chef just got here. I think they're yelling at him. I'm trying to understand what's being said now, as I sip on my compimentary Wong Lo gut =P

So nervous already..

It's not even the day yet but I'm so anxious/excited to see you. You're driving in tonight because you have ISS tomorrow. You should be here any minute now so this may be my last post until it happens. I love you so much. Blogged via iPhone

Last minute checklist

Wednesday:
  1. Clean room and hide all evidence
  2. Clean basement for video
  3. Charge video camera
  4. Find florist to pickup flowers
  5. Test video on laptop and TV
  6. Burn backup DVD
:Edit:
Got everything done that I needed to do today, but I still feel like there's more.  Check it out, I cleaned my counters up a bit.

Good think I did a quick test run today.  At first I couldn't configure the sound to come through hdmi, the resolution from laptop to tv was slightly off and video aspect ratio was off.  It's all fixed now and I feel a lot less anxious.  I was also able to convince you we should take turns planning the days for the weekend.

Since you had a rough few days at work, I said "I'm going to pamper you this weekend, lets start with a backrub on thursday."
You said "no, its okay" and insisted that I didn't wait for you, for dinner.
I wouldn't agree to your terms and you said "why do you always win?"
I said fine, lets split the responsibilities for planning the weekend.
You said yourself "Okay, I (cindy) get Thursday and Saturday, you can have Friday and Sunday."

VICTORY!  I solved last night problem, where you said you didn't want to watch a movie.  Now we get to watch a movie on Friday, and I get to choose the movie....I choose UP.

Thursday:
- Cindy comes in tonight so everything must be hidden and no further work can be done on this day

Friday:
  1. Pick up Noodles and dumplings
  2. Take pictures in front of restaurant
  3. Replace "placeholder" pictures in video with new pictures
  4. Create final video
  5. Pick up flowers and hide them in respective hiding places
  6. Charge iPad
  7. Charge and setup video camera
  8. Test video on laptop and TV
  9. Burn backup DVD
  10. Get engaged!

Unexpected speed bump :X

I anticipated unforeseen issues, but I didn't expect this =P.  I don't know if its because you're upset about something else (which I'll leave out of this blog), but you expressed you didn't want to sit around and watch a movie this Friday....CRAP!  I need a new plan.  If I had a super power for the weekend, let it be persuasion.  If I can pull this off, I promise to only use my powers for good...

Cindy and Jon's engagement - Take 1

Preliminary agenda for the night:

  1. Cindy and I will partake in THE DINNER of hand pulled noodles
    • Tell Cindy I got it from a noodle place nearby so she's not suspicious
  2. After dinner I will insist we watch THE MOVIE, because I haven't seen THE MOVIE in a while.
    • While setting up the laptop and TV, I will start recording on a video camera I would have hidden behind the TV.
    • Remember to check to make sure the recording light is hidden
    • Insist Cindy go get beers from the fridge if she is watching me set up
  3. THE MOVIE will play out (remember to keep lights on or dimmed for recording)
  4. At 8min 30seconds (cloud scene) THE MOVIE will cut out to inserted video clip
    • Try not to faint or hyperventilate in anticipation
  5. Video clip will last a little over 4 minutes at which point it will cue THE SCAVENGER HUNT portion of our program
  6. THE SCAVENGER HUNT will proceed as follows:
      1. 1st Clue (video clip) - Find this classic romantic comedy we watched together, before we started dating...
      2. 2nd Clue (post-it: Roman Holiday DVD) - Your next clue can be found inside "a present" you bought for a present I got you.  <hint: look babe no hands> #2
      3. 3rd Clue (post-it: Bicycle Saddle Bag) - Congratulations, continue your journey by revisiting our first vacation together and the memories we shared.  I'll learn to play this instrument for you if it kills me...literally. #0
      4. 4th Clue (post-it: Trumpet Case) - We're getting close!  All that you seek (in this contest and in life) can be found in this book! #5
      5. 5th Clue (post-it: In Bible) -  I have taken on many projects in life, although none compare to this project here.  Your photography inspired me to take on this enormous project, which I hope to one day finish with the help of my siblings and cousins. #7
      6. 6th Clue (post-it: THE BOX) - You alone hold the key to this box and all that it contains.
  7. Once she has reached THE BOX and figures out the combination to open the lock, give her time to take it all in.  Allow her to flip through the scrapbook and its contents.
  8. Once she is done with it, just go with it....this part will not be scripted.  It's clutch time, 4th quarter, win or go home...

It's all coming together now...

T minus 4 days....

I got out of work later than planned, but I was still able to stop by REI before they closed.  I went in originally looking for a mesh looking metal wire lock that people use to lock backpacks and duffels.  They didn't have any of that so I decided to go with a bike lock.  You already know what the lock is for when you're reading this, but just in case others are reading this blog (hopefully our kids one day).  I had purchased a vintage looking canvas suitcase to hold everything I'm planning for your surprise.  Unfortunately, the case didn't have a combination lock on it.  I wanted to lock the box with a combination so that I could leave little clues for you to figure out, leading up to the present.

This is what we're looking at right now.
If you like it we could use this as a wedding card holder

Thought the top looked bare so decided to turn it into a collage,
you would've been proud of me

If this all worked out, you're using that guy right there
OH btw check the back of it =)

Video Editing Day 2

I'm using Windows Live Movie maker.  It's pretty straight forward software, but when you start messing around with it a bit more to get things exactly the way you want it to be, it gets a bit buggy.  When I was almost done, I incorporated effects, music, text to add finishing touches, but that threw it all out of whack.  Then when you get everything working right, when you add or replace something it messes it all up again.  I'm still getting used to this.  I think I'm really going to like doing this kind of stuff.  I can't wait till we get a place and you can start your blog =).  I'll help upload and edit videos.......ok fine i'll do the diy's too...

I would love to give you a preview, unfortunately I can't upload the vid until I convert the whole thing into a video.  For the time being, check out these AWESOME pictures of Penny.

I have these sticky things all over the place and she always manages to get one or two on herself.

I gotta run.. It's mother's day and my baby brother is graduating today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plan B(etter not fail like the last one)

After failing at the hand pulled noodles I was really frustrated.  I wanted to surprise you by telling you I got store bought noodles.  Then after watching the video of me making it, you would have figured out that I made it myself from scratch.  After spending 4hrs on them and failing, its wayy to risky to make it on Friday.  I just found out you're coming in on Thursday and going to do volunteer work in Morristown on Friday.  This changes my plans a bit, basically I have to be ready to go by Wednesday night!!! OK now I'm nervous.  I need to improvise... without the noodles I will not be able to recreate our first date!  I was originally planning to call out on Friday so I could prepare the noodles and other perishable items.   I'll need to leave the house and pretend I'm going to work when you leave for volunteer work.  Plan B - head to the city to pick up noodles!  This could work... This will work...

OHHH~ I was also able to finish up the scrap-book finally and started video editing. I'm still super noob at video editing but I can definitely see myself getting into this.  Just wish I didn't have to waste so much time figuring out how to do the things I want to do in the video.

Here's a pre post-view.  I keep forgetting, by the time you see this blog, you would've seen the finished product.

As you can see, I bought extra page protectors.  I think I came in right around 15pages (double sided).  The cover I bought only came with 10 sleeves, so I had to expand it.  I have a few more pages, I can't wait to make a few together.

Fail Noodles..

What an absolute waste of time.  I'm so angry at myself for spending most of the day doing this when I have so much more I need to work on before next weekend.  The noodles were an absolute failure.  I woke up this morning ran down to the asian food market to pick up some beef shank, stopped off at target to get a digi scale then came home and started cooking the beef stock.  The stock came out amazing, but the noodles were an absolute failure.  After kneading the dough by hand for over an hour and a half, I still wasn't able to get it to the elasticity required for stretching the noodles....I was so angry.... I spent over 4 hrs on this project and it failed.....arghhhhhhhhhh

I couldn't afford to spend more time on it, there's a lot more I have to get done before E-day.  I will definitely learn how to make this for you baby.  Just can't risk another 4 hrs of fail on Friday.

I'll upload my fail noodle video later.

Love you lots babe.

:Edit: added video

Countdown - 7 days.. (hopefully last stop at Michael's)

I got out of work a little early today so I went to Michael's to pick up some extra supplies for the scrapbook.  I think I drew a lot of attention, being the only guy walking into Michael's at 4pm on a work day.  It was even more peculiar because I knew my way around and exactly what I was looking for as I skillfully picked my way up and down the scrapbook aisles.  I don't think they would even believe me this time if i said "its for my girlfriend"  After picking up a few decorations and some extra page protectors and expansion posts I headed over to Dave and Brian's to enlist their help.

On our first date we had lai-mein and dumplings.  A modest meal before heading out to the movies for a modest yet memorable first date.  I want to try to recreate that.  Except this time I want to recast and cut out the hand pulled noodle chef who doesn't wear shoes or cut his nails.  Instead, I will be attempt all the stunts myself and will film the whole process.  I recruited Brian and Dave's help to take pictures and short clips of the part where I shop for the ingredients.  I hope this all pans out the way I'm envisioning it.  There's only 2 minor problems I can foresee.  I don't know how to make lai-mein nor do I know how to edit videos, but I'll do my best.  I bought enough ingredients for 2 practice sessions.  I just hope I can think of some good stories to tell you tomorrow when you ask me what I did all day.  If not, I think you're going to suspect I'm cheating on you or something....

You know I wouldn't, I love you so much.

Our Love Design

We just finished skyping and you told me you had a blog that you started and never touched.  You called it Our Love Design, and I said baby, that spells OLD!  I don't like it. Then we had a conversation about blogs which made me really anxious.  You probably didn't even suspect anything but I was a bit self conscious and was worried that I would slip and say something about this blog.  I feigned disinterest and said blogs are your thing... you like them, its ok =)

Unbeknownst to you!!!!! teeeheee,

ninja....

So like maybe someday we can like...totally like combine our blogs or whatever, you know like if that's something you would like, either way I'm going to be like whatever, u know?

Good night!  I love you!

Lots Happening!!!

So many happenings today!  Well most importantly, I called and spoke to your parents.  I spoke to you first to make sure you weren't home.  You were just leaving after happy hour with your old Morgan buddies.  I called up and your mom picked up (thank god) I was already thinking of ways to spin it if Vicki picked up.  None of my reasons for asking to speak with your mom seemed legit without giving away my intentions.  So I spoke to your mom first and asked her for her blessing.  I will NEVER forget her first response.  She goes "gaang hai ho la, jui ho la, do mm zi deem guy deng gum loi, yow mmm gum mun kui"  please excuse the phonetics, but she said <Of course, its for the best, didn't know why (we) had to wait so long, and i was afraid to ask her>  Then we had a good little convo, I tried my hardest to remember the first things she said but I was a bit nervous so I couldn't remember the rest.  OH! She did say, "Cindy is....gey ho ga"  <Cindy is pretty aiight~>

After receiving your mom's blessing I took a deeep breath and asked to speak with your dad.  I am not sure at exactly what point I won your mom over, but she was suddenly on my side.  Telling me "don't worry, uncle likes you"  She has no idea how much I needed that bit of insider info.  I was so nervous about speaking with your dad, so scared that my voice would squeak like a kid going through puberty, or of saying the wrong thing.  Anything that would make him feel like he can't trust his daughter with this guy....I kind of blanked out a bit.  He did give me his blessing, along with some fatherly advice on how to approach relationships and that when 2 people are together, it definitely takes effort.  He also said he has faith that we'll do ok because I'm a good guy, awesome, cool, fun, handsome and have this boyish charm about me that embodies everything that is good in this world...something like that.  I don't remember exactly, like I said I blanked out a bit, I was a little nervous.

Anyways, the other big happening is I resigned from my position at alberoMED, but you already know all about that! =)

Phase 1?

I love you so much baby.

What does brian's front tire and the Knick's season have in common?

They're both finished as of tonight.

People are sad about the knicks season coming to an end so early in the playoffs and even more deflated about how it ended.  Being a 7th seed, upsetting a 2nd seed (possibly 1st seed worthy) Miami would have been a cinderella story, worthy on a long list of sports miracles.  We've done it before, sure, but not against this Heat team and definitely not with the team that we ended the season with.  Most depressing is Iman Shumpert, going out with one of the more serious, possibly career altering injuries, an athlete can sustain.

So I didn't really have the time to work on the scrapbook or anything tonight.  I came home, got a quick workout in and Brian came home with Tiff and we all had dinner.  After dinner we went out to check out why he had 2 tires with pretty fast leaks.  We found one tire was worn all the way down the steel belt was showing.  That tire was shot, so we just threw a spare on it. The other tire we found had a scrw in it so we tried to patch it.  Apparently gas stations and convenience stores only stock fix a flats now and not patch kits.  Those things used to be everywhere!  We had to go all the way down to walmart to find a store that was still open at that hour that sold a patch kit. So to do the actual work, it took us ~30 min to rotate tires, switch out a spare and plug...not bad..but took us nearly 2 hrs to find a damn plug kit.  fail.

I came back up and wrote this blog while talking to you =)

Just in, case.

The case I ordered from Etsy is finally here.  It took 20 days after the order was placed for it to get here.  Etsy is great sometimes to get things that you don't normally see at major retailers, but its soooo ass slow sometimes.  I found myself constantly worrying if it'll get here in time.  This case, I hope you like it. (I actually started typing and describing the case, and was 2 lines into it when I realized you would've already seen it when you see this).  Now I wasted 2 lines typing out that bit of info to give you the real live feel for this blog.

Bob Sagat voice "Kids, if you're reading this blog, the mission was a success and you guys were born, so you already know how your old man likes to ramble on and go off on tangents."

I'm pretty satisfied with the case, I feel it can be a pretty timeless piece and could be functional as well as a keepsake.  Best of all, it can fit the components I need it to fit for this to happen.

Also, I think I was a bit overzealous with the scrap-booking.  I already have more scrapbook pages than the book can fit.  I need to buy more sheets tomorrow, there are still pictures that I originally planned to use but didn't.  We're going to have to revisit this and maybe build one together.

I don't feel good.

It's ironic because yesterday my coworkers were complaining about the weather changing and not feeling well.  I just felt a little tired but other than that I felt fine.  Alan and Nelson also said they felt a little under the weather and I was telling them to drink some 三冬茶.  I get home and start feeling the chills on my shoulders so here I am now, getting ready to knock out a few more pages in the scrapbook and sipping on my own 三冬茶.

Cheers!
Tea of 3 dongs, my favorite...

Weekend Recap.

We had a pretty chill weekend.  You came in on Friday and we came home, had fried chicken, beer and caught the tail end of the Celtics/Hawks game.  Saturday we went and met up with Alan for brunch.  Talks of marriage and kids came up and I felt a bit uneasy since the proposal is so close.  I think you're getting a bit antsy as well, at least if my 'couple's telepathy' is working correctly, is what you're telling me.  Wish I was done and could just pull the trigger already... After brunch we went home and worked out for a bit.  Then we went to the mall so you could get some shopping done and return a jacket.  It was the funniest thing, when we were at banana I was holding your purse along with a few articles of clothing you picked out, so you could shop with both hands.  It was getting a bit warm and I was pacing anyways so I wandered to an open area of the floor where the AC was strongest.  I looked up from my pacing and noticed 3 other "men" pacing around, holding a bag and a few hangers as well.  We looked like planes circling above an airport... I tried to start a convo with one of the guys, a black gentleman, probably in his late 50's or so.  I guess I figured he'd be friendlier but he just smiled, shook his head and rolled his eyes.  Either he was tired and wanted to go or was like, "don't even tell me about it, noob" I don't know, I didn't get a chance to ask because my eyes fell on these really cute gray skinny jeans, stitched with pink thread and in a size 26 too!! I said these are sooo cute, my sister would love these~!

I must have said something wrong because the planes circled away from me after that...

After shopping, we picked up thai from Thai kitchen and went home to watch a movie with my family.

Sunday, we beat the Heat!!!!!!!!! It was so cute how into the game you were.  A few times I caught you clapping when a few things went in the Heat's favor, but it was sooo cute how into the game you were that I pretended I didn't notice.  like when lebron got an and1, fouling out tyson, with 20 seconds left, making it a 1-pt game.... but you really are too cute.  We have a whole lifetime of Knicks games ahead of us for you to learn =)

So I'll let you slide this once.

I wasn't lying.....this time.

I was trying to think about different themes for the next few scrapbook pages and blogging here.

Didn't get to scrap =(

Spent the evening with Matt and friends.  Project had to take a time out tonight and tomorrow.  The cleaning ladies are coming tomorrow morning when I'm at work so tonight was project "clean up so Cindy won't suspect a thing when she shows up for the weekend, lets keep this thing a surprise"

I think cleaning up was the hardest part of this project.

Wednesday, May 2, 2012

Totally rocked it today...

I did 4 pages on Tuesday and figured if I paced 4 pages a day, I'd finish 20 pages in 5 days.  Guess how many I knocked out today?

Now for our halftime report.

There's 4 more where those came from.  That's right, 7 pages in one day. Really turned it around and picked up the pace after the half for the "W".  Who's a scrap-booking God?

OMG OMG OMG, bling bling bling~~

Look what came in the mail today!!!! I had to have it shipped because I didn't trust myself with it.
I was so paranoid about losing it in the mail..

I hope that's a pebble you'll like

Birth certificate? I guess more like green card?

I really hope you're going to love it.

First taste of scrapbooking

Finally popped my scrapbooking cherry.  I have to say, its not that bad.  I did lose track of time though, and my entire evening resulted in a measly 4 scrapbook pages.  I really hope I'm doing this right and that you're going to love it.  The reason I'm learning how to do this, is because I know you've always wanted to get into scrapbooking and how much you still love printed photos.  Now I have all the supplies and (possibly) know-how.

Almost Busted...

I'm actually blogging right now as we're webcaming, and this is what you're doing.

Wanna see my package?

I pulled up the driveway and breathed a sigh of relief, because my FedEx package was sitting safe and undisturbed on my doorstep.  I love the suburbs...

Were you able to guess the hint from yesterday?

Off-topic Post

Off-topic post:

I had asked my brother to send me a pic when he got his national honor society cords.  Look!!

I know he's not wearing a cap and gown but I'm sooo proud.  Check out how 'ying' he looks.  I think he actually went out and got a real haircut.  This is a good look for him right?

(ps: disregard the time stamp for this post and the fact that I should be working...)

2nd guessing myself =(

I couldn't sleep tonight because I kept over-thinking the ring design.  I'm afraid its not what you wanted and you won't like it.  I kept looking at the few pictures I had of it and pausing the video I made to see if I can get a good enough close-up to compare it to rings I find online.  I even found a few forums asking what's a good width for the engagement band.  I believe yours is 1.9mm which is well within the normal range for paves.  There are some people who push for 1.5mm or so which makes the ring seem daintier.  I believe my sisters is around that size, but I went with platinum on yours, so a little more metal was necessary.  I really really hope its what you want, because I don't think you'll say anything if its not perfect.

I wonder if this happens to every guy, before they do that thingy with the thing.

Scrapbook 101

Wow where do I start.  I've been looking at pictures at scrapbooks for weeks now, just to steal get some ideas.  This is what I'm starting with:
I just need a little momentum and some sour patch watermelon candy.

Spontaneous I love you's,

I know spontaneous I love you's are nothing new in our 3 year relationship but this one scared me.... When I saw it, I thought "SHE KNOWS...."

maybe I'm not as ninja as i thought.

FedEx-oneration Form

I missed the shipment from FedEx today.  Couldn't decide whether or not to sign this.  Since no one is going to be home to sign for it tomorrow, I decided to sign it and pray for the best.  Hope the FedEx guy doesn't decide to run away with my package.

Stay tuned to find out what it was for...............................................................................

Here's a hint :)
